GUMBO LIMBO COASTAL STEWARDS
Despite the fact that most of our activities take part out of the water, our choices throughout our day have a direct impact on the sea. Now, more than ever, it is essential to stay informed on the current issues that are facing the ocean and the land, and how we can make a difference. It's our responsibility to protect our oceans and the many beautiful and mysterious inhabitants that call it home.
By becoming a mermaid and exploring the marine world, we present you with the opportunity to gain a deeper appreciation for the ocean. 10% of all of our proceeds go to Gumbo Limbo Coastal Stewards.

Beach Clean Ups
At least 14 million tons of plastic end up in the ocean every year, and plastic makes up 80% of all marine debris found from surface waters to deep-sea sediments. Polluted beaches pose a serious health risk for people and most important marine life. Marine species ingest or are entangled by plastic debris, which causes severe injuries and death. Beach cleanups can reduce litter, protect our ocean and raise awareness about litter and plastic pollution. In addition to improving the coastal and ocean ecosystem, cleaning the beaches ensures that none of the trash kills marine life or disrupts the aquatic life cycle with toxic substances. So please check our website calendar for monthly beach cleanups and volunteer opportunities to help preserve our ocean and all its habitats.
